JAVMA, Vol 229, No. 8, October 15, 2006 G veterinary students were surveyed in 2006 to obtain information regarding their employment choices, starting salaries and benefits, and educational indebtedness. Responses were received from 1,773 graduates from 26 of the 27 US veterinary colleges that had a graduating class. The survey response rate was 78.7%; 76.7% of the respondents were female, and 23.3% were male. Not all respondents answered all questions.
